Dr. Jennifer Shub is a post-doctoral fellow with extensive experience working with adolescents and adults struggling with anxiety, depression, adjustment difficulties, behavioral disorders, grief, and relational difficulties. She works collaboratively with her patients to build resiliency, improve relationships, and help them live by their values. Dr. Shub provides therapy in both English and Spanish.
Dr. Shub began her career in psychology at Emory University where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree, majoring in Psychology. Dr. Shub subsequently earned her doctoral degree at Nova Southeastern University. There, she completed three years of intensive training serving the South Florida community in a variety of settings including The Psychology Center at NSU and the FAU Counseling and Psychological Services Center. Dr. Shub completed her pre-doctoral internship at University of Houston-Clear Lake, where she provided individual, group, and couples therapy to students.
Throughout her education and training, Dr. Shub has provided evidence-based treatment in a variety of modalities, conducted neuropsychological assessments, and engaged with community members to provide education and support. Dr. Shub’s theoretical approach is integrative, drawing from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Theory (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Family Systems. Dr. Shub strives to create a safe, warm environment to help patients identify and reach their goals.
