Dr. Leon Mandler is a licensed psychologist who specializes in providing high-quality treatment to children, teens, young adults, and families. Dr. Mandler has experience working with a wide variety of behavioral and emotional problems including anxiety, depression, ADHD, family conflict, and adjustment difficulties.

Dr. Mandler provides evidenced-based assessment and treatment and has extensive training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Behavioral Parent Training, and Family Systems Therapy. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Mandler sits on the Medical Advisor Board of the Health Information Project (HIP) and served as a Lead Facilitator with the Children’s Bereavement Center.

Dr. Mandler began his career in psychology at Tufts University where he graduated with a Bachelors of Science. After he spent two years in New York City working as a preschool and elementary school teacher, he subsequently obtained his Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Nova Southeastern University. Dr. Mandler then completed his clinical internship and post-doctoral fellowship at the Kennedy Krieger Institute at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Here, he trained within the Child and Family Therapy clinic where he treated children, adolescents, and families presenting with a wide range of mental health concerns.

As a member of the American Psychological Association (APA), Florida Psychological Association (FPA), and the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapy (ABCT), Dr. Mandler is dedicated to staying on the cutting edge of the field so that he may provide the best quality care to the individuals and families with whom he works. Dr. Mandler takes pride in bringing his warmth, humor, and clinical skill to the diverse needs of Miami’s children, teens, young adults and families.
