Elisa Lagé, Ed.S., NCSP, is a Licensed School Psychologist experienced in providing therapy and consultation for children and adolescents from preschool through high school, as well as providing support to families. Her background as a school psychologist gives her a distinct perspective on how challenges show up in the classroom. This allows her to help families better understand and implement results and recommendations from school evaluations, secure accommodations, and collaborate with teachers and schools to support a child’s needs both at home and at school. As a fluent Spanish speaker, Elisa is committed to providing culturally responsive care.
Elisa received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology, cum laude, from the University of Florida, with minors in Spanish and Disabilities in Society. Upon graduation, she worked in academic and developmental research with the National Institute for Early Education Research, contributing to multi-state studies involving early childhood education, bilingual learners, and school readiness. She later earned her Educational Specialist (Ed.S.) degree in School Psychology from Florida International University. Elisa is a Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP) and a licensed School Psychologist in the State of Florida.
Elisa believes that meaningful change begins with a trusting therapeutic relationship. In her work, she draws primarily on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), along with other evidence-based interventions, incorporating a compassionate and strengths-based approach to help the individuals with whom she works build practical coping skills, strengthen emotional resilience, improve self-confidence, and navigate challenges in their daily lives. She is passionate about creating a warm, supportive, and collaborative environment where everyone feels heard, understood, and empowered. Given her experience, she partners closely with parents throughout the process, believing that collaboration is key to fostering lasting growth and resilience.
Through her work in schools, Elisa has supported children with a wide range of individualized needs using comprehensive evaluations, collaborative problem-solving, and therapy. Additionally, she has provided crisis intervention, conducted suicide risk assessments, and participated in safety planning. Through her training and work experience, Elisa has developed expertise in helping young people navigate anxiety, depression, ADHD, emotional regulation difficulties, executive functioning challenges, school-related concerns, social difficulties, and life transitions. Because so many of these challenges first surface at school, Elisa is especially attuned to the connection between a child’s emotional well-being and their academic life, and she welcomes the opportunity to partner with families and schools to help every student thrive.
